AdLink proudly participated in the 7th OT Forum, one of Greece’s most important platforms for dialogue around business, technology and society. This year’s event carried special significance as it celebrated 100 years of Οικονομικός Ταχυδρόμος, marking a century of contribution to economic thought, journalism and public discourse in Greece.
Representing AdLink, Managing Director Thanos Troupkos joined industry leaders and experts in a discussion focused on the future of media, communication and consumer engagement in an increasingly data-driven and technology-enabled world.
From media channels to audience understanding
One of the central themes of the discussion was the evolution of media from channel-centric communication to audience-centric engagement.
For decades, brands focused primarily on understanding media channels and optimizing visibility across them. Today, the challenge has fundamentally changed. The future belongs to organizations that understand people rather than simply understanding platforms.
As audiences fragment across countless digital and physical touchpoints, the ability to recognize context, intent and relevance becomes increasingly valuable. The conversation highlighted how audience intelligence is becoming one of the most important assets within modern media ecosystems.
The audience is becoming the new medium
A key perspective shared during the forum was that the future of communication will be defined less by the channels themselves and more by the audiences that brands can understand and engage.
The traditional model of mass communication is gradually evolving into a model where technology enables millions of highly relevant, individualized interactions at scale. Data, identity infrastructure and AI are making it possible to combine the reach of mass media with the relevance of one-to-one communication.
This shift is creating a new reality where audiences are increasingly becoming the strategic layer that connects media, content and commercial outcomes.
AI, GenAI and the future of trusted content
Artificial Intelligence was one of the central topics of the discussion, with a particular focus on Generative AI and its impact on content creation.
The revolution we are already experiencing is primarily a content revolution. For the first time, the creation of text, images, video and creative assets can happen instantly and at unprecedented scale. Content production is becoming faster, easier and more accessible than ever before.
Yet, as content becomes abundant, its value changes.
The discussion highlighted that the easier and more massive content creation becomes, the more valuable credibility, trust and human judgment become. In a world where virtually anyone can generate unlimited amounts of content, the ability to assess quality, reliability and authenticity becomes increasingly important.
Perhaps the most significant impact of AI will not be its ability to create content, but its role in redefining the value of trusted media. As audiences are exposed to growing volumes of AI-generated content, media brands, publishers and information sources that have earned trust over time will become even more important.
The challenge ahead will not be producing more content. It will be helping people identify which content is worth trusting. In that environment, credibility becomes one of the most valuable assets any media organization can possess.

Building the next generation of media ecosystems
At AdLink, we believe the future of media lies in connected ecosystems rather than isolated channels.
By bringing together Retail Media, Connected TV, Digital Out of Home, premium web environments and first-party audience intelligence through a unified platform, brands can engage consumers more effectively across every stage of their journey.
As media continues to evolve, the industry’s focus must move beyond impressions and placements toward deeper audience understanding, measurable outcomes and relevant consumer experiences.
Looking ahead
We would like to thank the organizers of the 7th OT Forum for the invitation and congratulate Οικονομικός Ταχυδρόμος on reaching the remarkable milestone of 100 years.
The conversations held during this year’s forum reinforced an important reality: the next century of media will be shaped by data, technology and AI, but ultimately it will be defined by how well we understand and connect with people.
At AdLink, we remain committed to building the infrastructure that enables that future.
